Why we created MapleDate English Academy

There are approximately 80,000 Saudi nationals studying English abroad yearly consisting of approximately 30,000 women and 50,000 men while there are several English language institutes operating inside the Kingdom.

Why are so many Saudis seeking training overseas if there are a multitude of language centers already here?

Our conclusion at the end of our detailed study of this problem led us to the following conclusions:

• Most institutes are money at the expense of education based businesses, where certificates can be purchased whether a passing grade is achieved or not.

• Revolving door teaching staff and poor recruitment practices have led to weaker educational standards.

•  Maltreatment of foreign workers and difficulty providing work visas has led to a decreased supply of qualified teachers.

• Weak curriculums and materials being used are designed for studying in English speaking countries.

• Current curriculums and materials do not account for the mindset and learning methods of Arabic language speakers.
