MapleDate: A Canadian/Saudi Company – Who We Are

We are an amalgamation of five English academics and businessmen, and a Saudi family who came together upon seeing the dire need for quality educational programs in Saudi Arabia. Our staff has a combined forty plus (40+) years of teaching experience in Saudi Arabia. We are licensed in Saudi Arabia in the areas of consultation and language training. We have spent the last three years developing our methods, researching, and spent one year testing our methodology in a respected medical college with very impressive results.

Thomas Sheldrick (MapleDate C.E.O.):

Before coming to Saudi Arabia, Thomas Sheldrick was an ESL teacher and administrator at an Islamic School in Canada. He also was the owner and operator of an independent contracting company. Since moving to Saudi Arabia he has served as a English class teacher, as well as the English Department coordinator for an International School. His services were also acquired by a Saudi private school, the Technical Institute of Naval Studies, and three different language centers within the Kingdom. For the past year he served as the program manager of English language studies at a private medical college.

Tim Dupuis (MapleDate Academic Director):   Before coming to Saudi Arabia, Tim Dupuis was already making money for Fortune 500 companies such as Ford, Bell Canada, Verizon, and Sunbeam. He had also worked in operations management and had founded two publishing companies: one based in the United Sates and one in Canada. He has also served as Editor and Chief for both publishing houses. Since coming to Saudi Arabia, he has worked as a class teacher while simultaneously holding the positions of Head of Department and English coordinator of an international school.  For the past year he served as the academic director of English language studies, as well as a university level instructor at a private medical college.
